Be it a single Hemispheric overview stand alone camera without NVR, or an IP door entry access control, or an alarm system with monitored doors, windows, radar motion detection, or even a smart home automation system to control lighting and shading, it is all tailored to your needs and budget.
Aside from Video Motion Windows and the patented MX Activity Sensor, alarms can be generated by radar microwave motion detection, window and door magnetic reed contacts, or any 3rd party hardware. When ARMED, notifications, snapshots and videos can be sent off-site, optional sirens and sounders can be triggered by the undersired events. Notification of detected hack attempts is possible, and can be automatically blocked.
Thanks to Mobotix DeCentralized Technology, any single camera is enough to build a system. No NVR computer or additional software licenses are required. The camera is fitted with a 4GB SD card from the factory that can be used either as a primary storage device (upgradeable to 128GB), OR the camera can record to a NAS device for holding events long term while the SD card can act as failover storage in the event of network failure.
Mobotix De-Centralized concept processes the images internally in the camera and can even hold the recordings on the built-in SD card as either a primary or failover storage media. Most Mobotix cameras consume only 3-5 Watts of power. Traditional cameras consume 5 times that and in addition require a power hungry NVR computer to process the images. Their extreme efficiency and robust, reliable build, and no moving parts, makes them long lasting both as a camera, and as a system.
Two-Way audio communication can be achieved as most cameras have built-in microphone and speakers and all cameras can be used as SIP phones. Alarm notification functionality is possible thanks to the built-in processor that can be programmed as needed. Instant Push Notification of the event to iPhone, or snapshots to email, video to ftp, sound and flash lights on a 3rd party sounder can all be achieved with a single Mobotix IP Camera, and some basic accessories.
By using high resolution 6MP cameras, in the correct locations, with the correct angles, to cover the desired areas, and taking advantage of DUAL lens technology, fewer cameras are needed. One single Mobotix camera can do the job of several analog CCTV cameras and most IP cameras.
